Hi, I'm Ashley
I'm a photographer, mom of three (two human babies and one fur baby), and wife to my high school sweetheart. I have a BFA in photography to go along with my passion and career as a freelance photographer. I love my job and can't imagine doing anything else, except maybe running an animal sanctuary in the middle of nowhere. I have a soft spot in my heart for all animals, but I especially cherish our dog, Preston. When I'm not photographing, I spend my time enjoying the world with my family. We enjoy hiking, rummage sale-ing, being lazy at home, and hanging out with our neighbors in Plymouth, Minnesota.
We've used Ashley for family pictures twice now and had amazing experiences both times. She's so kind and fun to work with and she's got an AMAZING way with toddlers. I loved how my boys just opened up and accepted Ashley right away! It made for the best pictures we've ever had as a family. I highly recommend Ashley - she's the best!

If you're interested in booking, we will work together to find a day, time, and location that works. I do not have a studio (although, renting one is an option), so all of my work is done in-home or on location. Newborn sessions are usually done in-home.
Once we lock down the day, time, and location, I will send along a proposal online that you can look over, sign, and make your deposit from. For newborn sessions, we book ASAP with the proposal/deposit and then you reach out once baby arrives to lock down the day and time. Ideally, we will shoot within the first two weeks of birth.
For family sessions, I always follow the lead of the children. I try to grab a few shots of everyone looking at camera, but I especially enjoy getting more raw and candid photos. I try to use my my awesome animal and high-pitched noises combined with my acrobatic skills to grab the attention of little ones. I will work hard with you to keep your kiddos happy.
Newborn sessions work very similiar to a portrait session. Much like my portrait sessions, I have a lifestyle approach to newborn photography. I take the lead of baby. I always try to get a few sleeping
shots if baby allows and a good mix of family shots as well. I bring along a few blankets, but I'm happy to use things that are special to you.
After your session, I will begin the photo editing process! This process generally takes about two weeks. Once your gallery is complete, I will contact you via email with your link and password. You will download and back your files up from there.
